FB Rice announce appointments

FB Rice are delighted to announce the appointment of Connie Merlino as a Partner of the firm, in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team.
Connie specialises in drafting and prosecuting patents in imaging technologies, software, telecommunications and data communications and data security.
Connie brings extensive experience to the partnership, having provided intellectual property advice to a broad range of national and international clients since commencing work with the firm in 2000. As well as working in the ICT space, Connie also works with the firm's Nanotechnology, Mining and CleanTech teams.
"We are thrilled to promote Connie to the Partnership, especially as she has been with the firm from the beginning of her training as a patent attorney" says Managing Partner, Dr. Brett Lunn.
"Connie is highly regarded by clients for her ability to provide excellent advice and guidance in intellectual property protection. Her skills and expertise will allow us to continue to work with a rapidly increasing number of clients in the ICT area, providing intellectual property and strategic advice".
In addition, FB Rice is pleased to announce the promotion of David Lee to Associate of the firm. “David has played an important role in the Engineering group and has been a vital part of our continuing efforts to build our client base, particularly out of Japan", says Dr. Lunn.
Both appointments are effective 1 July.
