FB Rice are proud to sponsor the Chem-E-Car Universities Competition as part of the Chemeca Conference 2011 which will be held in Sydney from 18 to 21 September.
 
The Chem-E-Car Universities Competition sets a challenge to design and build a small car which is powered by a chemical reaction and small enough to fit into a shoebox. The car must be able to carry a certain load of water and then stop closest to a specified distance - the car which gets closest wins.  The size and load of the distance to be travelled will only be given one hour before the competition. We would like to wish all competitors the best of luck.
 
Paul Whenman, Partner in the Chemistry team, will be attending the conference.  This year the conference theme is "Engineering a Better world". The conference will provide an excellent forum for chemical engineers and scientists to showcase their research efforts and technologies.
