David has extensive experience across all aspects of Australian and New Zealand intellectual property law, with particular expertise in trade mark law. He provides the full range of trade mark registration, prosecution, opposition and dispute resolution services, and specialises in advisory work on brand protection, including infringement and enforcement of trade marks. He has close working relationships with leading IP law and attorney firms in North America and Europe.
David provides clients with IP portfolio advice, including strategies for registration of trade marks in domestic and export markets, the transfer of IP, and how best to generally protect the brands and other IP of a business. As part of this, David advises on commercialisation, marketing and has expertise in dispute resolution.
David joined FB Rice in 2007 as Special Counsel and heads the trade marks practice in our Melbourne office.
