Gail has over 25 years experience as a senior IP practitioner across all aspects of Australian trade mark law. She has a specialist practice in contentious trade mark opposition and removal proceedings dispute resolution, as well as advising in relation to associated strategic trade mark clearance, registration, assignment and due diligence and other aspects of portfolio audit and management.
Gail represents both Australian and international clients in a wide range of industries with a particular focus on the personal care, computer games, paper products and wine industries. Her clients include global corporations with international brand protection requirements. Her knowledge of the cross cultural issues for branding in various countries including the Asia region, provide a particular benefit for businesses exporting and seeking trade mark protection outside Australia.
Gail has run a specialised trade mark practice since joining FB Rice in 1985, and has been a partner of the firm since 1988. Gail is located in our Sydney office.
