Jarrod is a Trainee Attorney in our Melbourne Biotechnology team. He holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours from the University of Melbourne, as well as a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge.
Prior to joining FB Rice, Jarrod’s career primarily focused on research, most recently as a Research Fellow with Monash University, developing and characterising therapeutic antibodies against a new cancer drug target. Jarrod’s scientific experience spans a wide range of biotechnological applications including therapeutic antibodies against influenza and cancer, anthrax drug targets, and bacterial gene regulators.
As a result of his involvement in these technology areas including a patented antibody and numerous publications, Jarrod has developed an interest in a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines and their commercial applications. He is keen to assist clients in bridging the gap between research and strategic commercialisation of the resulting innovations.
