John is a Senior Associate of the firm and has practised in the fields of mechanical and general engineering patents since 2001.
John has also worked as an in-house patent attorney for a multi-national manufacturing company and therefore appreciates the commercial and strategic value of IP in business. Prior to entering the patent profession, John gained industry experience in road pavement design and construction, pavement management systems and the operation and maintenance of related equipment and machinery. He is also an Officer in the Royal Australian Artillery with experience in the operation and maintenance of sophisticated electromechanical military ordinance and equipment. John holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of NSW, majoring in Geotechnical and Construction Engineering.
