About the presenters:
Jenny Petering's involvement with Scale Angels supports early stage companies with advice and mentoring, connecting entrepreneurs to strategic partners and access to funding. She is a registered Australian and New Zealand Patent Attorney with extensive experience managing international patent portfolios in the Biotechnology space. Jenny is also involved with leading industry group IMNIS (Industry Mentoring Network in Stem) and has an expert panel position with SMaRT (Science, Medical Research and Technology).
Michael Ng is an Investment Manager at Blue Sky Venture Capital based in Adelaide. He is responsible for originating, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities, as well as actively managing existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Blue Sky, Michael worked for several years in Investment Banking at Citigroup with coverage of healthcare, services and technology companies. He began his career working in the United States and Asia. As a mentor for Techstars and other accelerator programs, Michael assists entrepreneurs with strategic direction, business development and connections with experts, alumni, investors and community leaders that will help their companies grow.
With over 30 years' experience in the pathology laboratory and pharmaceutical industries, Lusia Guthrie has expertise in fields of product development, intellectual property management, production and supply chain management and regulatory compliance. In 2004 she co-founded LBT Innovations - a ground-breaking designer of automated solutions for microbiology specimens, and is currently chairman of Clever Culture Systems, a joint venture established between LBT Innovations and Hettich AG Switzerland.
