Some major changes are underway in New Zealand Patent Law. From 13 September 2014 a higher threshold for patentability will take effect. Click here for our recent article detailing these changes.

We recommend that you immediately consider bringing forward the filing of convention applications and national phase applications in New Zealand, and well in advance of the deadline of 12 September 2014. FB Rice offers discounted rates when instructions are received to file in both Australia and New Zealand, so we will be happy to assist with both.

Between now and September we will send reminders about the forthcoming changes. In the meantime, if you have any questions at all about the changes, please contact us on applications@fbrice.com.au to assist with your New Zealand filings.
