The Business of IP in China Seminars

Date: 13 October 2010
Author: FB Rice
It is no secret that China is experiencing an incredible economic renaissance across many industries.  BRW (September 9, 2010) illustrates this with one statistic which serves to illustrate the scale of what is happening: ‘China is expected to use more steel in the next two decades than America used in the entire 20th century.’

This expansion is not limited to use of primary minerals. FB Rice & Co clients, both Australian and global, are increasingly looking to China when setting their strategy.  Indeed, some clients are embracing exciting approaches to research and partnering across many spheres in China.

Reflecting this stimulating progress, FB Rice & Co will host seminars in Melbourne and Sydney to examine The Business of IP in China.  This will give participants the opportunity to discover firsthand the possible implications for business and industry; locally, regionally and globally.

We are delighted that co-presenters with our patent and trade mark attorneys will include chief trailblazers:
  • Andrew Wilks of SYNthesis Med Chem, who will share his extensive experience of doing business in China (Melbourne seminar)
  • John Deadman of JDJ Bioservices who brings wide experience of building businesses in China, particularly in the biotechnology sphere (Melbourne seminar)
  • Sara Cheng, Manager Greater China, International Growth Specialist of the NSW Chamber of Commerce, who has over 15 years experience in international trade and consultancy (Sydney seminar).
The events are free of charge.  For further details please contact Mary Flanagan on +61 2 8231 1002 or email.
