As reported by Charles Berman in March 2011, the USPTO announced that it intended to proceed with implementing Track I (prioritised examination) of its proposed three track patent processing system.

 

The USPTO has now issued a final rule in the Federal Register to introduce Track I with effect from May 4, 2011.
