Samuel joins FB Rice as a Trainee Attorney in the Sydney Engineering group. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) majoring in Mathematics and Physics from The University of Sydney. With a keen interest in intellectual property, coupled with his experience in patent applications, Samuel plans to undertake a Masters of Intellectual Property.

Samuel handles patent prosecution for a wide range of technologies including mechanical, electrical, software and medical related inventions. His knowledge spans a wide range of engineering and scientific disciplines, which he uses to provide a great deal of insight to his clients from both an innovative and an intellectual property perspective.

Prior to joining FB Rice, Samuel was a research and development engineer, working on the cutting edge of dental software and technology. Samuel has also worked with The University of Sydney to publish a research article involving the accuracy of scanning and digital articulation of dental models in the form of 3D point clouds.  

Samuel’s real world knowledge and skills gained in the engineering industry allows him to understand the challenges faced by his clients and to provide them with strategic commercial advice.

Samuel holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science (Advanced), majoring in Mathematics and Physics, from The University of Sydney.
