Samuel joins FB Rice as a Trainee Attorney in the Sydney Engineering group. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (Advanced), majoring in Mathematics and Physics, from The University of Sydney. With a keen interest in intellectual property, coupled with his experience in patent applications, Samuel plans to undertake a Master of Intellectual Property.
His role as a research and development engineer for Stoneglass Industries’ Prosthetic Design Centre, saw Samuel work on cutting edge dental software design and technology. This involved many exploratory projects, including the design of original dental equipment, development of new and efficient software algorithms and research involving experiments for submission to academic journals. Working with The University of Sydney, Samuel recently published a research article involving the accuracy of scanning and digital articulation of dental models in the form of 3D point clouds.
With his research background and keen interest in patent law, Samuel is looking forward to being a valuable addition to the Engineering team.
