Tony is a Senior Associate in our Biotechnology team and is located in our Brisbane office. He has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting patent oppositions and providing patentability, freedom-to-operate and infringement analyses in a number of areas.

As a postdoctoral scientist at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research, Tony investigated parasitic enzymes as targets for drug discovery. At the CSIRO Australian Animal Health Laboratory, where he completed his PhD in molecular biology and immunology, Tony’s research focussed  on the identification and characterisation of novel vaccine antigens developed for the immunisation of livestock. This research background, coupled with his Bachelor of Science, majoring in genetics and plant science from La Trobe University, enables Tony to bring a unique and valuable perspective when identifying and better understanding the specific legal needs of his clients.
