FB Rice Sponsors Hacking for Humanity

Date: 27 February 2017

We had a great time partnering with Girls in Tech Australia's Hacking for Humanity this weekend.

Launched last year, the Melbourne chapter put on an incredible event with an immense amount of support from brands such as AusPost and REA. The hackathon is part of an initiative by Girls in Tech across six continents to tackle social challenges including hunger, at-risk youth, and clean air.

Eight teams devised software solutions and innovations for not-for-profits, which the not-for-profits then got to walk away with and implement in their businesses.

Beata Khaidurova was on site to present the winning team, Missing Persons Advocacy Network, with their award.

Well done to everyone involved for your dedication to such great causes!
