Changes to filing with IP Australia

From today it is possible to file patent applications electronically at IP Australia. Since the official fee for filing an application electronically is AU$100 lower than for paper filing, electronic filing is now FB Rice's preferred approach.
However, when filing electronically, it is necessary to make a declaration about entitlement at filing. So that we can attend to electronic filing, when sending through instructions, please confirm the following:
- that the applicants have entitlement from the inventors and, if the applicants are not the applicants of the priority applications, that entitlement has been obtained from the applicants of the priority applications.
If we do not receive confirmation of entitlement in sufficient time before the filing deadline, we will file the application in paper form.
