Brett Lunn (Managing Partner), Sylvan Browne (Partner) and Rachel Hooke (Partner) accepted the award on behalf of FB Rice at the official Asia Pacific award ceremony held in Hong Kong last night.

This significant recognition for FB Rice was based on an annual survey and client/firm interviews concerning work highlights, as well as the expertise and qualifications of the firm in general. Every year MIP honours leading firms in the field of intellectual property for their excellent work.

“Around eight years ago, the partners at FB Rice set a vision to be the leading IP prosecution firm in Australia. At the time, we wondered what might be some indicators that we were on track to do that. One of the indicators that we settled on would be being nominated for and eventually winning this award. Beyond the delight in being recognised by MIP, this award tells me we are on track with regard to achieving the vision to be the leading IP firm in Australia. Winning such a highly respected award is also particularly pleasing as I know the degree of rigour and analysis that is put in to the awards by the MIP team. It is a great honour to receive this award and I am very proud of the effort of the entire FB Rice team in looking after the clients that we have in Australia and all around the world that has led to this result."
