Intellectual Property Arrangements report released by Australian Productivity Commission

Outcomes impacting inventive step threshold, the innovation patent, and trade mark non-use provisions included in the Australian Productivity Commission report on Intellectual Property Arrangements.
Following the report submission in September, The Australian Productivity Commission has released their report on Intellectual Property Arrangements. Some outcomes of the report include:
- a recommendation to raise the inventive step threshold for standard patents and abolishing the innovation patent
- changes to the non-use provisions recommended for trade marks, and
- designs go relatively untouched.
