Izabela holds a PhD from the Department of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne, where she focused on targeting transcription and epigenetic pathways for therapeutic benefit in cancer. This included understanding how RNA kinetics impact treatment outcomes.
She later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre of Gene Expression at the University of Copenhagen and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, with the support of the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO). During this time, she investigated the fundamental mechanisms regulating transcription in eukaryotes.
Through this research, Izabela has developed extensive expertise in molecular and cellular biology, next generation sequencing and bioinformatics. This strong technical foundation enables her to understand and protect a wide range of biotechnology and life-sciences innovations.
Izabela is passionate about applying her scientific background to intellectual property and supporting clients in protecting and commercialising their inventions.
