Sabrina has an extensive scientific background having graduated with a Bachelor of Biological science and a Master of Molecular biology from the University of Rome (IT) and the University of Manchester (UK), before completing her PhD in Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Her academic research focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of oncogenes in colon cancer with particular focus on cancer metabolism, in an effort to uncover novel avenues for cancer therapies. Sabrina also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Research where she contributed to generate a new chemo-vaccination against malaria.
