Soo Min Koh

Soo has a solid background across the breadth of patent work, including prosecution, patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate analyses. She has experience navigating patent laws across multiple jurisdictions and advising a broad range of clients, including multinational biotechnology companies, SMEs, startups, research institutes, universities, and clients based in Korea.

At FB Rice, Soo works with both local and overseas clients across a range of patent issues. Prior to joining FB Rice, she managed a patent portfolio for a licensing-out pharmaceutical substance, developed prosecution strategies for a substance undergoing clinical trials, and monitored patent landscape for a large Korean biopharmaceutical company. She is a friendly and meticulous attorney who values clarity and practical strategic advice.

Born in South Korea and raised in Singapore and Japan, Soo completed her university studies in South Korea, including a semester in the United Kingdom. This international upbringing provides her with an appreciation of different legal and business cultures, which she brings to her work. Having worked in both Australia and Korea, she brings a practical understanding of cross-border intellectual property matters.
