
Michelle Catto is a patent attorney in the medical technology team at FB Rice. Michelle has experience in the drafting and prosecution of applications for patents and registered designs across a range of medical and mechanical technologies. She holds technical qualifications in mechanical engineering with a focus on biomedical engineering and has a keen interest in the areas of medical device design and manufacture.
Michelle has a genuine enthusiasm for working with clients to guide them through each stage of the intellectual property protection process. Her warm and open manner allows her to create strong connections and she is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for each client.
Prior to joining the intellectual property profession, Michelle worked as a mechanical engineer in the active implantable medical devices industry, developing a strong understanding of product design and development in this sector. During this time, she also gained experience across a wide variety of manufacturing methods and technologies. Michelle's industry experience provides her with a valuable insight into the practical challenges of bringing new technologies to market.
