On Thursday, 26 September 2024, FB Rice was honoured to receive the prestigious Trans-Tasman IP Firm of the Year award at the annual Managing IP Asia Pacific Awards ceremony in Malaysia.

FB Rice was recognised in the following category:

Trans-Tasman IP Firm of the Year – REGIONAL

According to Managing IP, this award celebrates firms with a presence in multiple jurisdictions across the region that have demonstrated exceptional performance in a specific practice area or across the broader field of IP. It recognises those involved in notable case studies and other key achievements.

In addition to this award win, we were also shortlisted in two other categories:

Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year – AUSTRALIA

Trade Mark Firm of the Year (Patent & Trade Mark Attorney Firms) – AUSTRALIA

Reflecting on the win, Managing Partner Brett Lunn commented:

"Although we were shortlisted for this award last year, this marks the first time we’ve won in this category. It’s gratifying to see our efforts across the Tasman recognised. Our growing presence in New Zealand, alongside our longstanding commitment to our clients in Australia, has been integral to our success. We are proud to be one of the largest independent, partner-owned IP firm operating across both Australia and New Zealand."

Our strong commitment to both the Australian and New Zealand markets has enabled us to deliver exceptional client service. Local clients benefit from our extensive international reach, while global clients gain from our deep expertise across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
