Daniel Holt

Daniel is passionate about technology and helping clients to obtain strong, enforceable patents. He started his career in the UK and worked in Hong Kong for many years, at a leading law firm and a large US technology company, before joining FB Rice in Australia. He leverages his international experience to help Australian clients obtain patents overseas and to understand the needs of foreign companies building up a patent portfolio in Australia.

Daniel is approachable and straight forward and provides practical advice to help his clients navigate the IP landscape. He particularly enjoys working with inventors and has drafted over 150 patent applications, many of which were for universities and high-tech companies.

Daniel has a masters degree in Physics and is a qualified European and UK patent attorney. He was listed as a ranked individual in the IAM 1000 in 2019-2021.
