Kath is passionate about partnering with clients, innovators and inventors throughout the patent and design process. She has spent over a decade in intellectual property, including at a number of large Australian private practice firms and as corporate in-house counsel. She has a deep appreciation for the strategic role of patents and is committed to providing pragmatic advice tailored to each client's unique commercial situation.
Kath completed much of her post-graduate education in the UK and holds a doctorate in engineering science (image processing) from the University of Oxford, and an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Cambridge. She also holds undergraduate degrees in electronics and computer science.
Kath sits on a number of professional committees including the leadership committee for the ChIPs Australia and New Zealand chapter, a non-profit organisation seeking to advance women in IP and tech law, and policy. She has a strong interest in inclusion in patent inventorship and the intellectual property profession.
Kath is a registered Australian and New Zealand Patent Attorney.
